PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show 2026: Two Wins for Briar Ridge
The PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show celebrated sixteen Hunter Valley producers with trophies at its 2026 luncheon, held at Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. We’re proud to say Briar Ridge picked up not one, but two wins on the day.
About the PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show
Now in its 54th year, the PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show holds the title of Australia’s oldest regional wine show. It remains one of the most highly regarded events on the wine calendar, drawing entries from across the region each year.
This year, 69 exhibitors entered 652 wines. Judges assessed every entry over three days at Singleton Showground, with support from the School of Infantry. Toni Paterson, Master of Wine, chaired the judging panel, while Merrick Watts hosted the celebration luncheon as Master of Ceremonies.
Dr Jamie Goode from the UK joined the panel as International Judge. He’s one of the world’s leading voices on wine chemistry, viticulture and the psychology of tasting, holding a PhD in plant biology and more than two decades of experience in wine communication.
Our Wins
We’re proud to have brought home two wins this year:
- Andrew Duff – Graham Gregory Memorial Trophy, Best Other White Varietals & White Blends, for the 2026 Limited Release Albariño.
- Jeremy O’Brien – 2026 Tyrrell Family Advanced Viticulture Scholarship.
Both wins reflect the passion, skill and dedication of the team. Congratulations, Andrew and Jeremy, on this incredible recognition and we couldn’t be prouder.
