Our first ever Pinot Noir from our family 'Carillion Vineyard' in Orange. Raspberry, stoney mineral and herb aromatics with a subtle yet complex palate framed by spice and textured tannins.

Complexing, dark brooding fruits allure with nuances of candy like red fruits imparted by the whole bunch fermentation. Vibrant, fresh and alluring.

Seared salmon with a dill and lemon sauce or roasted beetroot and feta salad.
Further information

Hand harvested and whole bunch fermented. The wine was gently foot stomped before being plunged three times a day. Post ferment it was pressed of skins and aged in new French oak for 6 months before being lightly fined and filtered.

"This Orange pinot region has a distinctive aromatic personality with wild strawberry, fresh sage and vibrant raspberry notes. The light-to-medium-weight palate is similarly expressive, underpinned by a strong scaffold of acidity. Cranberry and lilting herb accents persist on the finish. It is quite a tensioned, unique wine with character. It comes alive with food and air, where its sheer pure-fruited intensity comes into the fore."

Vintage information

In 2023 our Orange vintage commenced well with plenty of excellent weather conditions for fruit establishment, a drop in temperature in mid-February brought about an ideal ripening period resulting in wines with generous fruit flavours and bright natural acidities. As expected, our vineyard team excelled in managing the fruit quality allowing fruit to be picked in excellent condition with balanced flavour and structure.
