2021 Stockhausen Chardonnay
Grown in the heart of Hunter Valley wine country, this Chardonnay is low-yielding, meaning we get an excellent concentration of fruit flavours. The La Niña effect from the beginning of the 2021 vintage meant we could retain the brightness of natural acidity while the even and moderate end to the season meant a complexity of fruit development.
This Chardonnay is whole bunch pressed and fermented in a mix of new and one year old large format French oak. With occasional stirring on the lees, we get a lovely creamy character with toasty oak characters. The perfect partner to the white peach and citrus blossom notes.
Ideal for enjoyment now or careful cellaring for up to 10 years.
